Good morning, Ghana. Here are four verified updates for Saturday, October tenth. Ghana's three main pre-tertiary teacher unions have suspended their strike. Teachers have been asked to return to classrooms while talks continue. The agreement sets timelines for promotion-related salary adjustments and other outstanding conditions. Health authorities have declared a yellow fever outbreak in parts of the Upper West Region. Three laboratory-confirmed cases have died. Emergency response centres are active, and anyone with sudden fever, yellowing of the eyes or skin, or unusual bleeding should seek care immediately. Ghana's Cyber Security Authority says a locally led operation arrested eight suspects and rescued one hundred and twenty people believed to have been trafficked and exploited for online fraud. Investigations and repatriation arrangements are continuing. Internationally, tensions between Ethiopia and Eritrea have escalated. Ethiopia told the United Nations that Eritrean forces had entered its territory; Eritrea rejects the accusation. The claims remain contested, and regional diplomacy is urgent.
