Petrol and diesel could fall from Friday as COMAC forecasts higher LPG prices
COMAC forecasts lower petrol and diesel prices, but higher cooking-gas costs. Actual retailer prices will vary.
The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies forecasts lower petrol and diesel prices in the pricing window beginning on 16 October, alongside an increase in cooking-gas costs. The outlook describes expected movements, rather than prices already applied by every retailer.
COMAC's forecast is reported by Citi News, GBC and 3News. Households using LPG could face a different outcome from motorists: lower road-fuel costs would not necessarily reduce the cost of filling a gas cylinder.
Actual selling prices depend on individual companies. Customers should check their retailer's published prices when the window begins on Friday. Regulatory minimum prices are not guaranteed retail prices.
