More than 500 Ghanaian businesses are expected to participate in the first Ghana Export and SME Fair, an event designed to connect local producers with international buyers and financing partners.

GEXPO 2026 is scheduled to run from 18 to 22 November at Black Star Square in Accra. The organisers, Accra Markets & Expo Limited, have opened exhibitor registration, the Ghana News Agency reported.

The event is expected to bring together small and medium-sized enterprises, indigenous manufacturers, foreign trade missions, institutional financiers and procurement networks. Its stated purpose is to help Ghanaian companies find export customers and increase non-traditional export earnings.

Beyond exhibition stands

Organisers say the programme will include structured business-to-business meetings rather than relying only on product displays. Participating companies are expected to receive guidance on packaging standards, phytosanitary requirements, AfCFTA rules of origin and credit facilities.

Target sectors include agro-processing, textiles and apparel, cosmetics and natural oils, light manufacturing, digital trade and exportable services.

The fair is being organised with support from institutions including the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Ghana EXIM Bank, the Federation of Ghanaian Exporters, the Association of Ghana Industries and the Ghana Enterprises Agency.

The figure of 500 participants is an expectation announced ahead of the event, not a final attendance count. The commercial value of the fair will ultimately depend on the number of completed buyer meetings, supply agreements and export contracts generated after the event.

Small manufacturers, agro-processors and trade-service providers interested in participating should verify registration requirements and deadlines directly with the organisers.
